Chihuahua House is located in the southern area of Chihuahua City, within Mexico’s northern desert region. Designed from a bioclimatic study, the residence adapts to extreme seasonal conditions, with temperatures ranging from -10 °C in winter to over 40 °C in summer.
The project seeks climatic comfort by integrating patios and openings that optimize natural light and ventilation, reducing energy use throughout the year. Private areas are positioned along the site’s straight edges, while public and social spaces open toward the street, allowing views from the bedrooms toward both the social core and the city. The façades are clad in ochre stone slabs, providing durability against desert winds while reflecting sunlight to minimize heat gain.
