For proyectosLA, a cultural platform in which 20 Latin American galleries showcase the best contemporary artists in their field, the firm transformed a warehouse into a gallery and communal workplace getting a warm and colorful ambience by combining natural materials, furniture and accessories made by artisans of Mexico. The selection of furniture contains the Academia chair - emblematic of the firm - as well as a specially designed hammock and the Acapulco chair, which is a design icon of Mexico. A lattice inspired by Mayan numbers contains circles of varying size, encouraging visitors to peer through to the other side. The design hints at the metaphor of creating multicultural, social, and professional connections between individuals, regardless of nationality.
